In my 33 years experience in this field, I have come across many a dog owner that comes up to me in utter desperation and frustration concerning their dogs ‘bad behavior’. The owners are acutely aware of the problem and ‘bad behavior’ but are totally in the dark regarding the cause of the problem itself.
This is where my job begins, with first, my study of the complaints and secondly doing a careful fact finding as to why and what stimulates the dog’s ‘bad behavior’, or negative behavior. This will then lead me to probe deeper into the dogs’ behavior by handling recording my findings. I also am assisted by my staffs to identify further problems, as a dog may behave differently to different people, as I have mentioned earlier, to a dog the family is a pack and every pack member represents a different subject. Dogs can and will behave differently to different subjects.
These findings enables me to develop a guide to take effective measures with my rehabilitation and reconditioning of the dog using positive reinforcement techniques to remove the undesired characters, drives, problems before and during the behavior reconditioning.
