This is Zoey, a 7 month old Husky. She is head strong and a little stubborn, but with the correct handling, Zoey has become and angel. She just went back for a short holiday last week, and has come back with glowing report.
Sometimes, or rather most of the times, it is the handling that makes and keeps the changes in a TRAINED dog. A trained dog does not remain "trained" after the classes. It remains "trained" when handled properly.
We have had a few relapse cases, and time and time again, it was usually due to the mishandling of the dog. The dogs that relapsed actually remembered all the commands and did pretty well with me, just not with the owners. Owning a dog is not an easy task, just like human, they too need love, affection and TIME. Providing them with food and shelter is sometimes just not enough, TIME is of essence is owning a well behaved dog.
